Bárbara Gomes Simões, a proud Portuguese communications specialist, moved to the Washington D.C. area and started her career with an internship role as a Communications Associate at Connect4Climate, where currently she is filling a Communications Consultant position. Prior to this, Bárbara worked as a Communications Assistant with TAP Portugal, and with the ActivoBank in Portugal. She received a degree in Social Communication, with a concentration in Journalism, Marketing and Public Relations. Bárbara is particularly committed to youth empowerment and has worked on numerous international efforts (AIESEC, European Voluntary Service, Erasmus +), organizing and promoting different projects in Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Spain, and Luxembourg.
Grazia Atanasio is a development communication consultant providing support to World Bank projects promoting climate resilience. Grazia has been with the Bank for the last 15 years working in different regions on strategic communication and stakeholders’ engagement aspects of sustainable development operations. Lately Grazia is working mostly in the Africa region and particularly in Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Senegal. Grazia speaks English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese, in addition to her native language, Italian.
Roberto Razeto has worked in the field of communication and international relations for more than 10 years, as teacher and manager at University, and as communication consultant for Italian government and multilateral organization. With an advanced specialization in lobbying and public affairs gained at America University in WDC, has been working within the C4C’s team since 2012, just at the beginning of the campaign.
Over the past 18 years Massimiliano have had the privilege to work on a broad array of projects dedicated to improving understanding and collaboration between diverse stakeholders. At the same time, he focused on building innovative partnerships with organizations and leaders in both the public and private sectors in Italy, Europe, and the Far East. Massimiliano also worked for Reuters, for the Italian Council and as an entrepreneur. As from 2005, he also joined the academic world as a professor of Public Affairs and International Marketing and Communication, teaching at and collaborating with Italian universities in Milan and Gorizia. Massimiliano is an Economist, with a Ph.D. in the field of Psychology of Communication Across Cultures.
Dany Oliveira is a Marketing and Communication Specialist, experienced in brand management and startups fast growing culture. Dany worked as a Marketing Manager for two major Portuguese brands, where he was responsible for coordinating the marketing teams and managing +1ME budget. He collaborates in worldwide sports events like UEFA Champions League and World University Championship Futsal. Dany is high skilled in Digital Marketing, focused on Optimization Marketing Performance. He holds a degree in Journalism and a master in Marketing Strategy by the University of Minho in Portugal. Born in France, Dany wants to make an impact in the world by taking on climate change and inspire others to do the same.
Sandra Valdivia is passionate about words and believes in their power to change the world. Daughter of a Spanish father and a Portuguese mother, Sandra was born in Germany. Sandra grew up having the chance to experience enriching personal and professional opportunities in different European countries. As a journalist, Sandra worked across different platforms, both digital and broadcast, for TV Channels in Portugal and France. Sandra has a degree in New Communication Technologies with a speciality in Multimedia and Audiovisual Communication and a masters in Communication Sciences – Journalism and Information. Nowadays, at Connect4Climate, she is fortunate not only to be part of such a multicultural and multilingual work environment, but also to have the honor to use her expert knowledge in communications to make a difference in the world, by dealing with one of the major threats to humanity, climate change.
Inês Silva Araújo was born in Moledo do Minho, Portugal. She is graduated in Journalism and holds a master degree in Strategic Communication. She lived in Brazil where she improved her skills studying cinema and music and in Ireland where she worked at the Embassy of Portugal in Dublin. Her most challenging experience was in India, where she engaged in an international volunteer program to teach English in the slums of New Delhi. A woman passionate about the world that dedicates her time traveling and writing. She is currently taking the role of Communications Assistant at Connect4Climate, where she keeps on trying to make a difference by leaving her footprints, making an impact in the world and catching ‘l'instant decisif’.
